Sloppy, rumpled dishes ... made of cardboard? From designer porcelain authorship Paola Paronetto A collection of unusual dishes called Сartoccio was made. Experimenting with the properties and capabilities of porcelain, the Italian managed to turn it into corrugated cardboard, and make from this cardboard a whole series of bowls, vases, bowls ...

Judging by the picture, one can hardly believe that these objects can really fly into hundreds of porcelain fragments, and are not at all as light as they seem from the outside. Having managed to imitate the paper effect, which is achieved by a combination of several processing techniques of the so-called "paper clay" - paperclay, the designer managed to turn the joke about breaking paper into reality. As a result, vases and decanters appeared, which were inaccurate in appearance, but stylish and unusual according to the design idea.

Uneven corrugated effect is achieved due to the fact that the composition of the "paper" paperclay clay includes cellulose, which gives strength to the plastic material, and after firing - a characteristic relief. Cardboard china was presented at the very beginning of the year in Paris at the Maison & Objet - 2011 exhibition.
